The topic of my article is about how The House of Hope was opened up to help women in need. “House of Hope’s success helps define our city” is the title of my article. My article is from Longview News Journal or here. Helen Johnson wanted to minister to women. She did so by opening a place for homeless women called The House of Hope. 55 women today have a place to stay. It’s the House of Hope’s 10th anniversary this year. By providing love and much more to homeless women, Helen deserves all the congratulations. More people should be like Helen and reach out to women. I feel good to know that there are still people who would like to help others. This affects me because it affects a town near me. There are people near me who need help all the time. Now that Longview has the House of Hope and other places are helping people who need it makes me glad. Although, some women put themselves in that position it’s good to know they are hopefully trying to get their life back together. As for others, that may have disabilities and are not able to work are also hopefully trying to find something they can do makes me feel glad as well. This affects the world the same way it affects the community. The House of Hope has come so far, and helps define the city of Longview. To know that 55 women have a place to stay is great. Fewer and fewer places around the world have these type of places. But to hear about the House of Hope can inspire so many others to reach out as well or even remind some to stay on the right path.
