The topic of my article is about how election year can change the dip in oil prices. “Election year could change slump in oil prices” is the title of my article. My article is from KLTV or here. Still recovering from the fall from last year Bruce Morriss predicts the gas prices will go back up, especially this summer. Many companies had to lay people off due to the decrease because there is no work for them to do. While some are trying to find work and keep their businesses running others are enjoying the low gas prices. Some feel a big part of it has to do with who is in office. Morriss says if we have the right president in office he expects an increase. I agree with Morriss. I feel people should be aware about this when they choose who our next leader may be. This affects me because I have many family members who are involved in the oilfield. I know that their companies have to lay off workers and it puts them in a very difficult situation. If they have a family and not a job, it can be hard on the family because there is not the income they had before. Who’s in office does affect this field and soon to be other fields majorly. America understands that we need the right person to help this country and we need to be smart when choosing our next president. This affects the world the exact same way it affects me and my town. Oil fields are everywhere across the world. I’m sure most everyone is enjoying the low prices. But I hope they realize where it puts the oil field workers and those who are involved with the oil field. With summer and election year happening, the field has a greater chance of rising and helping more people and companies get whatever job they need done accomplished.
