Tooth Care Evaluation

The topic of my article is about how we remember our library is a special place. “New service reminds us our library is a special place” is the title of my article. My article is from Longview News Journal or here. Over the years libraries have improved and changed. While most people rush through life’s motions, they forget about sitting down and taking time to relax. The library has been around for years and is one of the few places where you can go in to grab a book or sit down and study. But you don’t have to go to the library anymore to find books, but grab your personal device and download them. The world of books and reading has come a long way and has improved tremendously. I’m glad we have this access to grab a book whenever, and sit down and read. I feel more people should slow down and remember that life shouldn’t be a rush. This affects me because I went to the library all the time when I was younger. I remember going down each row looking for books that interested me. I enjoyed finding books then going right home to read them. Now it’s more common to read books on electronics. I still feel the thrill when reading them on a device as I did at the library. This affects the world because many libraries are also improving. It’s still a great place to study and find research. With a library being close by to most people I think they also feel the enlightenment of knowing they have a place to spend time and wind down. I hope these places will always be around because it was fun part of my childhood and growing up. I plan on taking more time also, to not go through the day in a rush but remembering to relax and read more often.

The topic of my article is how ordinary people who take action to save lives. “We are reminded again of the heroes who walk among us” is the title of my article. My article is from Longview News Journal or here. A driver had been swept away in her car by floodwaters. The driver still trapped in her car, ended up in a creek. A bystander from Gilmer, Texas saw what was happening, and didn’t hesitate to take action. Firefighters and a police officer had jumped in the creek to try and save her. After being underwater for 10 minutes and doing all they could to help her she unfortunately died later that day in the hospital. It’s crazy to think how easily somebody can be gone in a matter of minutes, especially in this incident. This affects me because I live in east Texas. I remember seeing pictures of how high the creek and lakes were getting, along with some parking lots and ditches. I know how careful we need to be when driving in the conditions. It’s scary to think how that could have been one of my loved ones. I know I’m definitely paying more attention to being careful on raining days like that one. This affects the community as well. This happened so close to every town in east texas. Now I feel everyone is a bit more cautious. This affects the world because it affects a town near me. Floods happen everywhere, and like I said before I feel everyone is more aware. The people who pitched in to help are true heros. It’s great to know there are still great people in the world like them. I know if i see someone in trouble i’m not going to hesitate to help.

The topic of my article is about Buckner always giving back to the city. “Successful campaign reminds again how Buckner blesses our city” is the title of my article. My article is from Longview News Journal or here. Every year Buckner’s shows love and support to people and families that are struggling. They have many programs to help the community to join in. So many people help through Buckner’s and have raised so much money throughout the years. There isn’t a certain amount you have to give. This makes it so much easier to pitch in and help. I love that Buckner’s is a christian ministry and that love to help all people. It makes me feel glad to know Buckner’s is always reaching out to those who need it the most. I know there are many people who are struggling right now and could use somebody’s love and support to get back on their feet. I feel that more companies should pitch in and give, just like Buckners. Their service is a real blessing to everyone. I hope Buckner’s continue to inspire others as they inspire me. This action affects me because my school participated in giving through Buckner’s this year. My school had a big help and made a difference. I donated items as well as some of my classmates. It feels nice to give to people who really need it. I’m blessed to have such a loving family who can support me like they do. This affects the community in many ways. Many people are able to find out about Buckner’s donation through the town. This could inspire the community to give while Buckner’s close by. This makes it easier for people to drive by and give as much as they want.This affects the world greatly. By one service making a difference, it can spark others to give as well. It’s programs can continue to grow and hopefully other schools will join in, as well as companies. I truly hope the many things Buckner’s is doing to get attention becomes known over the world. This getting more attention can result into a chain reaction meaning place by place coming together to defeat struggling for many people and families all over the world.

The topic of my article is about Black Friday and the record breaking sales. “Shoppers weigh-in on Black Friday craze” is the title of my article. My article is from KLTV or here. Black Friday is the day after thanksgiving where most all the stores over the U.S drops their prices and is open all night. There are usually many people out on Black Friday spending money, but this year the records were broke. There was a 3% increase of buys compared to last years record. Also 60% of holiday shoppers had a quick start on their shopping before the Thanksgiving holiday. Most every store also has the prices over the weekend, so it’s been said Black Friday is just the start. I think it’s pretty crazy for all the workers because of the hundreds of people and constant restocking the sales floor. Although Black Friday can get crazy I feel it’s great for the shoppers as well many of the people who usually can’t afford enough. Now everyone has a chance to go out and get great deals on things they need and gifts for others. This affects me because I go Black Friday shopping. When I see a great deal in the stores I definitely don’t hesitate to take up the offer. I enjoy giving people gifts for the holidays and Black Friday is the perfect time to buy. Even if some of the sales don’t go down as much we’re still getting something cheaper than what is was. I’m glad stores do this and give people the chance to receive great deals. This impacts the world because stores all over the country participate in Black Friday. This allows busy shoppers to knock out most of their christmas shopping for cheap. I know my family and friends go out on this day and find some of the best deals and unpassable offers. Even if some don’t go out and shop the opportunity will always be there throughout the years. Black Friday is a day to save and I know I’ll be out on Black Friday every year.

The topic of my article is about retired veterans looking back and telling their memories.
“Veterans share veterans day memories” is the title of my article. My article is from KLTV or here. A few veterans share their memories about being in the army. Clifford Faircloth is a veteran who fought in three wars. Ron Frey says it was some of the best times of his life. Danny Whyte was a Marine Corps gunnery sergeant who survived a wound through the head while fighting in vietnam. Defending our territory isn’t easy, and serving our country deserves huge honor. When I see people joining the army, it shows americans that they really care about our freedom. I feel thankful for everyone who has ever served in the military and for all the troops who gave their life for our country. This affects me because I had relatives who have served in the military. They tell me stories about what they did and how they felt. It was interesting to hear people’s stories. Just by reading or listening to someone speak about what they went through or what they saw has a big impact on people. It makes you feel grateful for the country that you live in and for anybody who want to protect it, to keep others safe. Veterans have a huge impact on the world. They understand what they needed to do to keep our country safe. Stories from the past also make you think. They knew that it could be risking their life but they continue to stand tall and protect our nation with a willing a heart. Thank you so much to all the veterans out there and to everyone serving in our nation’s military.

The topic of my article is about the tornadoes rolling through texas and taking up to 6 lives.
“Storms, tornadoes lash Texas; death toll rises to 6” is the title of my article.
My article is from KLTV or here. Three tornadoes hit Texas, in the Houston and Austin area Friday, October 30th. There was also flood, along with this from hurricane Patricia. As rescuers were trying to help they recovered a total of 6 bodies. About 10 to 30 homes were damaged, just 7:00 a.m Saturday morning. Due to the flooding over 70 people had to stay at shelters. My position on this event is that I’m glad and thankful for that most people made it out safe and more people are now aware that anything can happen. I feel God was watching over many people who were going through this event and It’s great to know that many towns came together and helped one another. This affects me because I live in Texas. I’ve become close to my town and the people who live here. I can’t image what these families have to go through, losing a loved one. I hope everyone takes this as seriously as I do because somebody we love could be gone in a matter of minutes. Tornadoes and floods occur often this time of year and I hope everyone is staying safe. This affects the world because we never know when something like this could show up so soon and happen again. Families had lost loved ones that day. We should always take something like this seriously and not wait til’ the last minute to realize this actually happening. Tornadoes are very powerful and can do so much damage to towns and houses. When you feel the weather is getting bad it never hurts to take precautionary measures to stay safe.

The topic of my article is about the UT Tyler women’s soccer team and their consistent wins.“UT-Tyler women’s soccer keeps winning” is the title of my article. My article is from KLTV or here. The UT Tyler women’s soccer team has been been on a winning streak and they do not plan to stop now. The team has had their 10th shutout of the season. With an ending score of 5-0 the team’s confidence continues to grow. Just within 16 minutes of the game Laurel Boyd scored their first goal of the game. From then on the team was on a roll. UT Tyler women’s soccer team has been fighting hard this season and is working as a team to make it happen. I could definitely see the team competing in the big games. This event makes more than happy. It’s great to see the team working together and having so many wins. With hard work and determination it definitely pays off. The players have passion for the game and it shows. I can’t wait see the team go so much farther. This event affects me because I used to play soccer. Soccer isn’t the easiest sport out there. You have give your all or else you’re sitting on the bench. Teamwork involves the whole team and you can’t win the game by yourself. To watch the team work together so well is really inspiring and I hope that one day I can also show others that hard work pays off. There is different ways this impacts the world. UT Tyler is a college and colleges compete at a very high level. To play for a college team is a big deal because this means you have the chance to prove that you’re the best in the state or later on best in the country. These girls on the UT Tyler soccer team inspires people. It shows them through practice and teamwork you can go far.
